Crystal Power

Hello loves! I wanted to share with y’all another work I recently completed. It was inspired by these precious, naturally found stones. There’s always something fascinating about the treasures we can find from the Earth. Sometime this coming summer I am planning on taking a trip to a crystal mine to dig up some of these beauties!

I do enjoy partaking in collecting crystals and making sure their energy is cleansed so that they have a special place in my home. However, I am no crystal expert and I do not practice crystal rituals… and so forth. But, like every other spiritual practice, I do find the use of crystals for healing both fascinating and helpful.

Let me specify a little. I more so believe that if we have something to put our energy into (crystals, monuments, chapels, religious figures, etc) there can be a return of energy. Not that the crystal itself heals, but that if I focus on a crystal and it’s meaning in the aspects of my life that I want to work on, it will give me the strength, courage- whatever you want to call it- to focus on that part of my life.

I compare it to finding verses in the Bible that pertain to a specific part of your life that you want to focus on. And I use both. Crystals add a tangibility to focusing on whatever you need to focus on in your life.

I started using watercolor and adding in the copper acrylic paint after.

I then added some doodles of different crystal forms and did some stitch work.

The final product includes glitter, of course!

Here are some close ups that I really liked.

I hope y’all enjoyed this one!

Peace and love ❀️

***DISCLAIMER: I am always cautious of trudging through religious territory in public spaces. I am not- by any means- disregarding nor giving opinions about people who use crystals as ritualistic items. I believe we are all free to choose where we find peace and happiness and the road to guide us. This is also not a post about my religion or belief system- just my personal opinion and ways of having crystals in my life and the inspiration for this piece. ***

  1. Excellent! Thank you for sharing.

You mentioned something that caught my eye: If we have something to put our energy to we will get a return of energy. I feel you have hit upon the one thing that can turn a persons life around. For those who are absent of this they are the ones who may lead empty lives.

As a kid my focus was music. It was a wonderful relationship and it still is. A perfect give and take.

I guess the message is to find something that you can give and receive. It will be a huge part of your existence.

    1. I am so pleased that you could take something from this post πŸ’• I think that as humans we need some sort of physical relationship with something that can receive our energy. Whether you have an actual religion and believe in a god or not, it is hard as human beings to fathom an untouchable creator.
Music is a very good give and take relationship. Music has always been a huge part of my life and although o don’t instrumentally practice anymore I still thoroughly enjoy listening to it.

*so sorry I didn’t respond sooner! I read your comment when I received it and must have gotten distracted πŸ™ˆ

    1. Thank you so much!! I find a lot of my inspiration within nature and my surroundings. Compile it with things I’m interested in/ my hobbies, and the energy and joy brought by my family- I use it all as fuel behind my work.
